DROITWICH SPA BRINE LIDO NOW OPEN.
An up-dated and improved ‘21st century’, clean and safe, open air lido re-opened in Lido Park
NEW FACILITIES INCLUDE:-
HEATED BRINE POOL. For the first time in several decades the brine swimming pool is to be heated.
‘BEACH STYLE’ POOL. This will give easy access to young learners and disabled.
MODERN CAFÉ. Replacing the old refreshment kiosk.
NEW ‘WET PLAY AREA’ – SAFE WATER PLAY FOR CHILDREN OF ALL AGES.
This general up-grading should attract significantly more visitors than the low level experienced before closure in the year 2000.
Visitors to the Historic Lido Park will also see a variety of recent environmental and facility improvements, which will add to their enjoyment. The well established program of Sunday Band Concerts will be continuing throughout the Summer as will a number of other events such as the District Council’s ‘Party in the Park’.
